Hawrań House
2,152 m a.s.l. · Belianske Tatras
120 m² · 4 bedrooms · 2 bathrooms + WC · living room on the ground floor · up to 8 guests
A house that looks out at Havran.
The living room is on the ground floor, so from the sofa by the fire you step straight onto the terrace. Coffee in the morning, a fire in the evening, and the Tatras in the big windows in between. Three bedrooms are upstairs and the fourth is downstairs: right for grandparents, for friends, or for whoever wakes up first.
Peak: Hawrań House
Havran is the highest peak of the Belianske Tatras and the highest limestone summit in the whole range (2,152 m). Its name means raven: havran in Slovak, Rabenstein, Raven Rock, in German. In the 19th century these mountains were the private hunting ground of Prince Christian Hohenlohe, who had hunting paths cut across the slopes. Today no trail leads to the top: the ridge belongs to chamois and eagles. From your terrace you can see its sharp pyramid beside its twin, Ždiarska Vidla, the same pair that appears on old postcards of the Spiš region.
