House

Łomnica House

2,634 m a.s.l. · High Tatras

120 m² · 4 bedrooms · 3 bathrooms + WC · living room upstairs · up to 10 guests

A house that looks out at Lomnický štít.

The living room is upstairs, higher up and closer to the mountains. A long table, a fireplace, and a view that reaches further from up here. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor, quiet and cool for sleeping, and the fourth is upstairs, next to the living room, with its own private bathroom.

Peak: Łomnica House

Lomnický štít (2,634 m) is the second highest peak in the Tatras. In August 1793 the Englishman Robert Townson climbed it with two highland guides and measured it with a barometer. He was off by about a metre, and after his measurement the peak was considered the highest in the Tatras for many years. Since 1940 a cable car has run to the summit, and an observatory and weather station at its top station are staffed all year round. In the evening, when the valley is already turning grey, Lomnica catches the last light of the day. The best seat is in the hot tub.
